The San Andreas Department of Motor Vehicles is the state agency responsible for issuing drivers licenses and handling vehicle registration. The SADMV is located in South Pillbox Hill close to Ammu-Nation.

==== Driving Class ====
The Driving Class provided by the SADMV covers the basic rules of the road, and covers expectations for driving in Los Santos. It is recommended to take this class prior to taking the Written Exam. The Driving Class is $100.

==== Written Exam ====
In order to get your license you must first take a Written Exam and pass with an accuracy of 80% or greater. The exam consists of 10 questions, covering the information found in the Driving Class. The Written Exam costs $100.

==== Personal Driving Test ====

The Personal Driving Test takes you on a guided course in a Blista Compact through Strawberry and the surrounding areas to test your competency on the rules covered in the Driving Class and Written Exams. You cannot get more than 3 infractions on this test. The Personal Driving Test costs $250, and gives you a Personal Drivers License, required to purchase and operate vehicles in San Andreas.

==== Commercial Driving Test ====
The Commercial Driving Test takes you on a different guided course in a Flatbed Semi through Strawberry and the surrounding areas to test your competency on the rules covered in the Driving Class and Written Exams. You cannot get more than 3 infractions on this test. The Commercial Driving Test costs $500. This will give you a Commercial Drivers License, permitting you to drive for companies like [[Walker Logistics]].
