The rules for Los Santos Life are partially derived from the Arma 3 gamemode Altis Life. This page will serve as the official rulebook for Los Santos Life.
General Conduct
- Respect Others: Treat all players with respect. Harassment, discrimination, and offensive language will not be tolerated.
- No Cheating/Hacking: Use of cheats or hacks is strictly prohibited. Players caught cheating will face severe penalties.
- No Exploiting: Exploiting, or abusing glitches in the game’s systems and code, is strictly prohibited. Players caught exploiting will face severe penalties.
- No Ban Evading: If you are banned, serve your sentence. If you are caught ban evading, you will be banned again, and have your time extended, or be permanently banned.
- Ban Appeals:
- All ban appeals must be done on Discord in the proper channels.
- The staff member than banned you will be responsible for your appeal.
- Do not message any staff member until they have addressed your appeal.
- No Spamming: Avoid spamming messages or actions in the chat or voice channels. This includes excessive advertising and repetitive actions.
- No Advertising: Do not share other servers IP’s, websites, Discord links, etc, on any of our services. (IE: In-Game, Discord, Website, etc)
Combat and Conflict
- No Random Deathmatch (RDM)
- Do not engage in combat or kill other players without valid roleplay reasons.
- You must engage a player and give them enough time to comply before killing them. (ie: “Hands up or die”)
- You must specify who you are engaging.
- If a player complies with demands, you must roleplay it. You cannot kill them unless they fail to comply.
- If one clan engages another clan, all engagement between both clans in legitimate until 5 minutes of inactivity has passed, as long as they are both bearing the clan’s tag.
- If someone shoots at you, you can defend yourself.
- You cannot engage other players using the global text chat.
- Hostages
- Do not kill restrained players.
- Do not kill hostage players.
- You cannot keep a hostage for more than 15 minutes.
- You cannot take the same person hostage for 30 minutes.
- You may freely shoot anyone who has your clan/group member hostage/restrained.
- No Revenge Killing: Avoid killing players simply because they killed you previously. Engage in roleplay reasons for conflict.
- No Vehicle Deathmatch (VDM): Do not use vehicles to ram or run over other players without valid roleplay reasons.
- Red Zones/Hostile Zones
- Red Zones and Hostile Zones are the ONLY acceptable place to deathmatch without reason.
- Red Zones and Hostile Zones are Kill On Sight.
- Hostage rules still apply.
- Law enforcement can not camp the Red Zones.
- No Combat Logging: If you are actively engaged in an conflict, you are not allowed to exit the game.
- New Life Rule: If you die for any reason besides a bug/glitch, you cannot return back to the area for 15 minutes. You must remain more than 1 mile from the area until the 15 minutes has expired.
- No Meta Gaming: Do not write information about what is happening in the game in the chat.
- No GTA Driving: Driving off of jumps and cliffs is not considered realistic, and should not be done.
Administration and Staff Conduct
- Respect Admins: Admins are here to enforce the rules and ensure a smooth experience. Respect their decisions and follow their instructions.
- No Abuse of Power: Admins and staff must not use their position for personal gain or to target specific players unfairly.
Reporting Issues
- Report Rule Breakers
- If you witness someone breaking the rules, report it through the appropriate channels. Provide evidence if possible.
- Failure to report violations could result in consequences.
- Visit the Discord to reporting cheaters/rule breakers.
